We are STILL 99%
by Phil OslundI fully support those of the Occupy movement. I said that it would get bloody and it has. But the violence is not over. It will not be over until some innocent is sacrificed for the cause. Then both sides will step back and decide it is time to talk. My question is: why do we have to wait until someone dies before they look for an peacable end?
Handicapped parking
by Phil OslundI recently received my handicapped parking permit. Believe it or not, I don't always use it. I've found that about half the time, there are regular parking spaces available that are just as close if not closer than the handicapped spaces. Besides, if there a just a few, I'll leave them for someone worse off than I.
Legalize it!
by Phil OslundNot only would the government rake in the tax dollars, it will destroy many criminal networks. Thousands, if not more, will benefit from the medicinal benefits. Yes, there are medical benefits. As a MS patient, I can attest to that,
I don't want to pay for a Vikings stadium
by Phil OslundLet the wealthy owners build their own stadium. To raise more money, they can give a percentage of ownership in the building as consideration to their millionaire franchise players. They should also get corporate partners to contribute in consideration or permanent advertising.
Sorry if you take me as bitter, but I can barely afford to pay for my own house let alone for a building for a business that will continue to make money. Above that, they want the money as a gift. Sorry, take your team elsewhere... but leave the name here.
The Los Angeles Vikings is just wrong. It was bad enough when the Lakers kept their name from Minneapolis. Let them go and start a new, hip California identity with a new name, colors and logo. Can't really say I'd miss them.
Go Lions!
Phil Oslund
The “musician” of the group, Phil plays guitar, mandolin and piano. He also does the MIDI sequencing used in the recordings. Phil fancies himself a writer, concentrating on poetry and lyrics, though several books are planned. Phil's creativity also spills over into photography and digital art.
Scott Block
The “photographer” of the group (although all three have made a living in photography), Scott has the best “eye” of the three. Scott is also the writer of the group having completed one novel with several more in the works; Scott is also a prolific poet.
Pete Nyblom
The “face” and “voice” of the group, Pete is a natural being a radio personality. He is actually much more than that, but it would take up too much space explaining. Also a poet and photographer, Pete has many creative outlets, some of which he shares with the group.
