Swords of Steel Cross of Wood |
|
Three travelers they, who roamed near & far
Across fields green through galaxies of stars
Bound to their honor & holding to oaths
Each wears an armor that others may boast
A cross of wood and swords of steel
The force of good and powers to heal
Three men upon their hearts did swear
to defeat the powers of darkness and fear
A ranger one, the second of cloth, the third a man of steel
Together they go boldly on to battle powers wield
Alone they do what can be done to settle up the odds
But as one... none could stand without at first a hearty nod
Two swords of steel and cross of wood
Their symbols went before them
Through thick and thin their ground they stood
Arm to arm, faced all before them
So many roads have they trod before, some footsteps bathed in stones
Against all odds they stood beside the other always known
To hear the call so loud & clear while hardly sounding sane
Each takes to the charge going into the fray in hopes of the saving the day
A cross of wood and swords of steel
Warriors fight and cleric heals
Back to back and kneeling down
They fight as only they know how
Upon the hill of Galiad they met a force not theirs
With flash of light and words of rain they went into the night
They fell with ease a boast not made, I tell it like it is
For one of three I am you see... the others to their knees
Two swords of steel and cross of wood
Stand planted on that hill
Arm to arm they lie restless still
For they'd continue to fight if they could
Continue to fight if they could
