Who we are

Le Sueur, Minnesota...a little town on the Minnesota river. Population approximately 4000. Twenty-something miles north of Mankato. That's where... and here is the story of how we met.

Scott and Phil met in sixth grade, Ms. Haines' homeroom at Park Elementary. They bonded quickly with the mutual goal of talking-up two girls who were close friends. Their friendship loosened, as some do, during summer vacation... especially when one lives five miles out in the country. They were reunited in Mrs. Prince's seventh grade homeroom where they met Pete. He proved to be the common thread that held these three close. Throughout high school, Scott and Phil were on different paths but both counted Pete as a close friend. Shortly after dropping-out of college, Phil moved to Omaha for a year. When he returned to Minnesota, he reconnected with Scott.

From that point on, the triangle has remained strong even though they were occasionally separated by distance...like when Scott lived in Florida.l to r: Pete, Scott & Phil

Where did the name come from?

Follow the links at left to learn about the individuals that form this group, that will shed a little light on things. The name derives from Oslund, Allen and Kay; the initials of the last name/pseudonyms at use at the time. Following the three syllable rule, i.e. Spiderman, Superman, etc. Pete came up with name.

What is mead?

Other than the official beverage of our group, mead is honey wine. Best served cold (on ice) or warm with cinnamon, mead is appropriate any time of year... just ask the Viking kings of old. If you ever go to the MN Renaissance Festival, look for us at the mead booth. Feel the need for mead!
